Cute Cousins

These little ladies are at the age where they notice each other, they might take a toy from each other, but other than that, they seem to be in their own little worlds. I guess we should enjoy the lack of tears and high pitched screaming and running around.  We had a great weekend together with the Bone's and Grandma Marty. We did some fun shopping and the little ones were very good and hung in there all day.

For some reason, Natalie has hit the fast forward button and is moving around like a wild monkey. In the evening, it becomes even crazier. If I attempt to bring out the broom and sweep the floor, she fly's towards me and is so excited, wanting to "help." I end just sweeping like a mad woman trying to keep her away from the pile of dirt that for some reason looks so fun to play in. Whew. I even tired just typing about this.

By the time 4pm rolls around, I am wiped out from chasing her...I know...she isn't even walking yet. She might as well be. She can probably scoot faster than walking. Pulling up on everything is starting. She now stands up with flat vertical surfaces. The windows to the backyard are no longer just smudged at Chihuahua height, rather it is as hi I Natalie's standing body can reach with her tongue. Yes, lots of licking of the windows going on. Which reminds me, I should give them a good cleaning with water to take off the grime likely on them.

Our leaves are nearly all down on the ground, mostly under the trees now. Don't tell anyone, but I might have put Natalie on my back, started the rather quiet leaf blower, and relocated a few leaves. I didn't have full ear protection on, but a thick beanie and a backpack cover. She slept like a champ. I am sure it didn't hurt her ears. It is a quiet one, I promise. I will admit that I didn't want a neighbor to see me though. They were ear protection when mowing the lawn. We don't. :(

One huge change in the last 24 hours is this terrible back arching, head thrown back and something that resembles a huge fit! I was stumped today when it occurred. She started laughing and playing and then when I had to take away a dangerous toy, it happened. It continued to happen throughout the day. It starts with a a limp body when you pick her up and then arching, a little yelling and a fit occurs. It's crazy! I can't wait for Ryan to see this! Late this evening, I was doing some light online reading and without even looking it up, POOF! An explanation of something about back arching and head thrown backwards babies. Most 9 month olds go through this phase. Whew. Relief. It is just a phase and it wasn't the devil that has possessed her body. I am hoping this phase is a fast one.

I am pretty sure that most all of Nattie's pictures will now be all blurry. She won't sit still and although she smiles often, it's likely not when the camera is on. She is saving it for special occasions. However, we did get some cute shots this weekend. Enjoy.
