And she's off!!!

Making this short. Why? Because I  frantically baby proofing our house. She has started crawling and I am not ready. I am in for a rude awakening. This is one busy kiddo.
We go to story time at the little library near home. The little girl in front of her said to her mom, "why is that little girl so happy?"

Had to make a room for her to self entertain while I do my duties in the kitchen. I didn't get 10 times the amount things done more than usual. If she can see me she is happy.
Snacking at the zoo.

This big girl stood up in crib by herself! Ahhhh!

Lunch + Visit The Springs + Home Depot + HOTTT Weather

What were we thinking?! It is hot outside and Natalie and I decide to truck around town. Silly.

We joined Ryan and Christy C. for lunch at Whole Foods and ended up going to The Springs to say hi. I was able to surprise lots of folks that I hadn't seen in a long time. Three of my biggest supporter residents came strolling down the hall and I stopped them in the hall. Apparently they had literally just ran (ok, not actually run) into the marketing office to ask what I was up to these days. AND then POOF! I appeared. They were excited to see Natalie.

Natalie and I then headed to Home Depot. I had a list of one item to pick up. I didn't pick it up, but I did find other stuff. Weird, huh?! I picked up a hand held bidet. Yep! What for? Natalie's recent introduction to solid foods make cloth diapering a different game. The word on the cloth diaper street is you can use this hand held bidet and "prep" the diaper for laundry time. I will spare you from graphic details as much as it pains me.

Now I have to decide what bathroom to install this in. Hmmmm. I am a fan of the bidet's in Europe. I might have to put this in my bathroom. Heck, next time you visit, we may have on in each bathroom. I might catch Ryan with Natalie bent over the toilet, buns in the air, spraying her off. I am prepared to accept that this might happen. Yet, Natalie will likely be giggling and it won't affect her.

On check out at Home Depot, I was able to help the new cashier look up my account, give me a discount and in the process, I ripped part of my pinky toenail off. Oh, my. It hurt, but I didn't look down. Later when I was brave enough, I looked down to see blood all over my toe and flip flop. Ha! It hurts, but nothing like Ryan's experience last summer. If you don't know, he was taking his first skim across the beach on a skim board when a kid came flying out of no where and POPPED his big toenail nearly clean off. It ended our little trip to the beach that day. AND GROSS. He will have nearly no sympathy when he see's my small nail tear. But between you and me, mine was painful.

This the excitement in this kind of heat. These ladies do this during heat strokes, blizzards, thunder storms and pretty much anything. Lazy! And oh, so cuddly.

I don't think Natalie liked my choice of music today. It wasn't even loud.

This was wild Nattie play time. She was picking on me.
I text Ryan at this point and told him to save me from her madness. :)

A very confusing

Why is the term home wrecker so innappropriate? Here is what wiki says...
  1. homewrecker - Wiktionary

    en.wiktionary.org/wiki/homewrecker
English[edit]. Etymology[edit]. From home and wrecker: the idea that a family and a homehave been destroyed by one person.

My impression as of lately is that a home wrecker is a child. Not that they destroy our family life, rather the opposite, however, our home is wrecked. No longer do we have spotless floors, tidy livingrooms and fingerprint free windows. I am pretty sure that the excessive amounts of plastic that cover our living room also fits under the home wrecker category.

Natalie's nickname is "Bam Bam". Even though the traditional Flinstone's friends little boy BamBam is a boy, our Natalie likes to smash things like Bambam does. :)

Chariot Ride

He couldn't help himself. Her doctor said no trailer behind bike rides until 12 months old. Reason is because of head control. We fudged a little and tested it out. Just a few turns on our street. She loved it! Yes, Ryan looks like a dirty hippy here too. At one point he turned too sharp, tacked his pedal, bravely threw is shoeless hobbit foot to catch himself. :) Natalie didn't notice. Gotta save the fancy cruiser bike.

Her first sand experience

Natalie was a fan of the beach. No wind, 70 degrees & lots of SAND. She loved the sand between the toes. Also in the mouth :(.

7 Months Old

Time is blowing by and the summer is over. Yikes!

Natalie has turned  7 months old and we are in for a treat. This kiddo can really move. At all times while awake, she is a movin' and a shakin'. She has two cute little teeth, she is very close to crawling and has started standing up in her crib. It usually ends bad with a dramatic fall, but she is very close to hanging in there. Next thing we know it, there will be chew marks all up and down the railing.

Today we hit JC Penny's again. They asked if we could come in for a sitting for them to train a new hire. We thought we'd humor them. Sure enough, Natalie threw out her smile talent and won their hearts. Here are the proofs below. Some are traditionally JCP cheesy, but we let them do it anyways. It was just a training opportunity. I think a couple turned out really good. Although I'd like to go to a professional photographer, it know I wouldn't get to go as often as a quick stop by the mall. We plan to do some family shots soon.
